Principal Analyst

Alan Zeichick is president and principal analyst of Camden Associates, as well as editorial director of BZ Media's SD Times. Formerly a mainframe software developer, Alan launched Camden Associates (originally named Camden Computer Services) nearly two decades ago as a value-added reseller and contract-programming business in coastal Maine. While operating Camden Associates, he worked as a journalist with Camden Communications, IDG Communications, Miller Freeman, and now BZ Media, always with an emphasis on launching, repositioning and improving trade technology publications. With more than 2,500 published articles in his portfolio, as well as dozens of speaking appearances at events as diverse as American Association of Artificial Intelligence, PC Expo, Comdex, the Software Development Conference, and Networld + Interop, Alan is well known throughout the IT industry. Senior Analysts

Andrew Binstock is a respected expert and author in the field of software development. He was the owner and editor-in-chief of The C Gazette before editing Unix Review magazine. He then was editorial director for PriceWaterhouseCoopers' annual Technology Forecasts research reports before leaving to join the Camden Associates and Pacific Data Works teams. Andrew has authored several books, including the seminal "Practical Algorithms for Programmers," (Addison-Wesley, 1995) now in its fourteenth printing. Andrew writes a column on business integration for BZ Media's SD Times, and also contributes regularly to InfoWorld. Michael "Mac" McCarthy is a veteran editor and publisher in the technology field. He built up InfoWorld's reviews department as executive editor during the 1980s, then cofounded IDG Books where he initiated the groundbreaking DOS for Dummies. He was editor-in-chief of SunWorld Magazine, then in 1995 founded IDG's first Web-only publishing company, WPI, where as editor and publisher he launched five Web magazines including SunWorld, JavaWorld and LinuxWorld. More recently he developed the editorial side of Jupitermedia/DevX.com's successful custom publishing operation targeting the developer community. He has written three computer books, and speaks at numerous industry events.

Lisa Morgan is a seasoned business consultant, author and journalist. Since 1985, she has been working with vendors, service providers, publishers, event producers and industry associations in virtually every sector of the high technology industry. In addition to working with client companies, Lisa has contributed to a number of publications including SD Times, E-Commerce Business, Washington Post, InternetWeek, Planet IT, Wireless Developer, Network World, Internet World, InformationWeek and Monterey County Herald. She is co-author of "Implementing Internet Security" (New Riders, 1995) and "Internet Security Handbook" (IDG/Mecklermedia, 1995), and a key contributor and editor of "E-Marketplace: Strategies for Succeeding in B2B E-Commerce" (McGraw-Hill, 2000). Lisa has also been a speaker and/or awards judge at executive, literary and technology conferences in the US and Japan including Internet World, Networld+Interop, Internet Alliance, Ishikawa Alliance and the Waterside Conference.

Wayne Rash is director of technology policy for the Commonwealth Policy Institute Network, a non-partisan, non-profit think tank headquartered in Washington. He has testified twice before Congress on the role of Congress and the Internet, and he has appeared on a number of televisions programs. As a journalist, he has written regularly about technology for over 20 years, serving as a long-standing columnist for Byte and InternetWeek, and as a contributor to many other publications including PC Magazine, Federal Computer Week, Windows Magazine, SD Times, The Washington Post, Federal Computer Week and InfoWorld. He is a former news director of WVIR-TV in Charlottesville, Va., and he has contributed reports to NBC television and radio news. Wayne was a leader in developing testing labs for CMP Media, and was a founder of the Advanced Network Computing Laboratory at the University of Hawaii. Wayne is the author of "Politics on the Nets" (W.H. Freeman, 1997). Wayne is a frequent speaker on topics related to technology, the Internet and communications. 

Esther Schindler has been covering technology issues since 1992, as a book author, magazine columnist and editor, industry analyst, and user advocate. Schindler has contributed to dozens of magazines, including ComputerWorld, PC Magazine, Inside the Internet and SD Times. She's also written industry analyst reports for In-Stat/MDR and Evans Data Corp. Schindler has unique capabilities in online community management, with 18 years' experience in every role establishing forums and roundtables for InformationWeek, managing participation on technology forums, creating winning e-newsletters, and developing and implementing marketing strategy. Her hands-on experience ranges from compiler development and optimization to running a retail computer store in rural Maine.

Web Technologies Analyst

Alyson Behr is a Los Angeles-based enterprise Web development expert and content provider, as well as a seasoned technology journalist and speaker. She is a frequent contributor of technology features and reviews to InformationWeek and SD Times, and served as editor for CMP's Planet IT technology portal's Advanced IP Services and Networking Tech Centers, as well as a contributing editor for InternetWeek. Alyson has contributed to Miami Magazine, ZD Internet, Web Developer, NetGuide, Plane & Pilot and Smithsonian Air & Space. Additionally, she served as a Networld+Interop Best In Show judge and as chairperson for the City of Malibu Telecommunications Commission. She is the author of "Internet Access: Multimedia Bandwidth Demand" published by the Pelorus Group and speaks frequently on technology and aviation topics. Alyson has received coverage in several publications including USA Today, Miami Herald and Flieger Magazin.
